City to Sea
Our joint-vision with the award-winning The Wave Project is to create inclusive surfing communities amongst vulnerable young people in Cornwall and inner-city London: using a combination of creative surfing and person-centred mentoring to transform their physical and mental wellbeing and ultimately improve their lives.
Victoria Pendleton, patron of The Wave Project, and Michael Jamieson spoke with Sky News about the Wave Project and the positive impact of surfing on mental health. Watch the full video here.
This grant will enable Laureus and The Wave Project to expand the reach of their award-winning intervention that uses surfing to help young people reduce anxiety and improve their emotional health.
