Creative Minds supported young people aged 11-21 across 4 Creative Wellbeing Hubs in South Wales to become Creative Wellbeing Champions. The Champions worked with young people in their local communities to deliver bespoke, creative arts based workshops in order to support their understanding of their own, their peers, and their communities’ experiences of mental health and wellbeing.

Creative Minds was awarded funding by Spirit of 2012’s Youth Advisory Panel. “It gives me the greatest pleasure to announce that Youth Cymru has been chosen as the beneficiaries of our Challenge Fund,” said Michaela Collins, Youth Advisory Panel Chair at the time. “Mental health issues in young people across the UK are on the rise, with 50% of all mental health issues beginning by the age of 14.”
