Flyerz Hockey
Access Sport’s Flyerz project targets young disabled people in England and Wales who face the additional challenge of growing up in poverty, providing them with inclusive hockey activity. Currently, there is no formally-recognised Disability Hockey code (it is not, for example, a Paralympic Sport) so Flyerz has great potential to open new doors and change perception
Flyerz hockey brings together disabled and non-disabled people on equal terms, connects communities and improves wellbeing. Access Sport is excited to work with Spirit of 2012 to give more disabled young people access to the health, wellbeing and developmental benefits of sport.
