Creative Minds

Creative Minds supports young people aged 11-21 across 4 Creative Wellbeing Hubs in South Wales to become Creative Wellbeing Champions. The Champions work with young people in their local communities to deliver bespoke, creative arts based workshops in order to support their understanding of their own, their peers, and their communities’ experiences of mental health and wellbeing.

“It gives me the greatest pleasure to announce that Youth Cyrmu has been chosen as the beneficiaries of our Challenge Fund,” said YAP Chair Michaela Collins. “Mental health issues in young people across the UK are on the rise, with 50% of all mental health issues beginning by the age of 14.”

We are thrilled to have received funding from Spirit of 2012, enabling us to work with young people in Swansea, Newport and Merthyr Tydfil through creative workshops supporting their mental health and wellbeing. The project will also enable us to upskill youth workers through training and a toolkit of resources.
